Mountain View Holiday Retreat is an easy 4 hour drive from Melbourne.
From Melbourne, take the Hume Highway to the Bright/Beechworth exit and then the Great Alpine Road via Bright to Harrietville. Harrietville is the last town this side of Mt Hotham, so remember to check your petrol gauge before proceeding up the mountain. Mountain View Holiday Retreat is located on the right hand side just over the second bridge and next door to Hoy's A frame ski hire.
Mountain View Holiday Retreat provide their own coach service for guests travelling from Melbourne for groups of 20 or more people (fees apply). For further information on this service, contact Mountain View direct.
V/Line operate a daily service from Melbourne to Wangaratta with coach transfers from Wangaratta to Bright.

During the winter, Coaches depart daily from Melbourne's Spencer Street Coach Terminal and Tullamarine Airport and travel via Myrtleford, Bright & Harrietville. The scheduled bus service stops at Mountain View Holiday Retreat for all guests before travelling to Mt Hotham. Scheduled services are provided by Trekset, phone 1300 65 65 46 for more information. Take the Hume Highway to Albury-Wodonga and follow the snow signs to Yackandandah then turn off to Myrtleford. At Myrtleford turn on the Great Alpine Road to Bright then on to Harrietville. Mountain View Holiday Retreat is located on the right hand side just over the second bridge and next door to Hoy's A frame ski hire.
