Mountain View Holiday Retreat is an easy 4 hour drive from Melbourne.
From Melbourne, take the Hume Highway to the Bright/Beechworth exit and then the Great Alpine Road via Bright to Harrietville. Harrietville is the last town this side of Mt Hotham, so remember to check your petrol gauge before proceeding up the mountain. Mountain View Holiday Retreat is located on the right hand side just over the second bridge and next door to Hoy's A frame ski hire.

V/Line operate a daily service from Melbourne to Wangaratta with coach transfers from Wangaratta to Bright. Omeo Coachlines offers a bus service from Bright to Harrietville. Mountain View can also arrange shuttle services from Bright to Harrietville. V/Line also operate a service from Bendigo to Bright via Wangaratta (all year)

During the winter, Coaches depart daily from Melbourne's Spencer Street Coach Terminal and Tullamarine Airport and travel via Myrtleford, Bright & Harrietville. The scheduled bus service stops at Mountain View Holiday Retreat for all guests before travelling to Mt Hotham. (This is a winter only coach service)

Take the Hume Highway to Albury-Wodonga and follow the snow signs to Yackandandah then turn off to Myrtleford. At Myrtleford turn on the Great Alpine Road to Bright then on to Harrietville.
