With many activities to educate and challenge the students on site and off. It is our goal that students and teachers alike will leave Mountain View Holiday Retreat with a better understanding of themselves and of others, a new outlook on life with an appreciation of our beautiful alpine environment and an abundance of amazing memories that will last a lifetime.
Located in the picturesque town of Harrietville in North East Victoria and at the base of Mt Hotham Alpine Resort. You will find Mountain View Holiday Retreat to be the perfect location for bringing the students back to nature and allow them to appreciate what the Alpine environment has to offer.
Mountain View Holiday Retreat creates an environment for the students to grow and challenge themselves. We encourage them to find their own inner strengths and independence while building better communications and understanding of others through team activities. The students and teachers will find their time here will be both educational and fun.
We offer a complete package including accommodation, activities and full catering options from our in-house kitchen and dinning room. You can choose from our home style options, continental or fully cooked breakfasts, in house hot or cold lunches to picnic styles and various dinner options, from 2 courses to BBQ or camp cooking lessons. We are also very compassionate to dietary requirements and allergies.

Unlike other camps, Mountain View Retreat provide full support for teachers and camp coordinators throughout the whole school camp planning process. Helping with your site and activity risk assessments, we can organise everything for you! We spend time in school with you and your team, preparing for the camp, keeping you well informed. Once here the students are actively involved in a camp experience to remember. We are commitment to you “walking away from our camp with all your expectations exceeded.”

Our programs engage students in processes that require them to translate their learning to everyday life through being creative, evaluating, analyzing applying and understanding the environment around them.
Encouraging students' artistic side, (the Arts in STEAM) they begin to realise their own capacity to engage, inspire and enrich themselves and others through our subtle STEAM activities. Eliciting their imaginations and encouraging them to reach their creative an expressive potential in designing solutions to real world problems is our purpose.

Our accommodation is set over 2 spacious units, located next to the reception/dinning room. The rooms vary from 2 to 10 share with queen and bunk beds available (see below). All rooms have their own ensuite and each unit has a comfortable lounge/communal area for the students and teachers to relax or have game/movie nights.
There are drying rooms located in each of the units for drying out your snow, hiking or swimming gear, ready for the next day’s adventures.
